Without a doubt, the most anticipated promise from the Democrats in 2006 and 2008 was to provide this country the most transparent, the most open, and the most honest government seen since before the crafty and evil right-wing nutjobs from nutville came to town in 1994. After all, the GOP led Congress had lied us into war, made backroom deal and backroom deal, and had been mean to kittens and puppies just to get their point across.

During the campaign and throughout the buildup to the heathcare debate, then Senator and now President Barack Obama assured us that the healthcare discussion would be broadcast on C-SPAN, so that all could see the creation of this bill was open and honest. Closed doors would not be a part of this White House or Congress.

Unfortunately, reality is often quite different with this President from the lofty rhetoric he spouts. Questions are now being asked by the left-of-center Washington Press Corps. They may have preferred Obama over John McCain back in 2008, but they certainly do not like being lied to when asking a question.

Poor Dilbert had to face Jack Tapper the other day, and then two more nosey reporters the next day. Click on the picture to link to the video.

You see, he has already discussed this issue. How dare they keep pressing him on the President’s lack of transparency! Yes, controlling the press is a bit tougher when they are not all so star struck.

Of course, this is all really just the opinion of the right wing blogoshpere, right-wing nutjobs on talk radio, and Fox News. I just happen to be able to get their talking points and spout them for fun.
