Favretastic Finish!

As you can see by my avatar and name, my blood bleeds purple. When Brett Favre was torturing me over the last 17 years with heroics for “that other cheesy team” from the great white north, it was poetic justice to see him finally wearing the horned helmet and performing these “Farvetastic” miracles for my team instead of against it. Yesterday was a performance for the ages. The Drive, Throw and Catch all in one! This is why Brett came out of retirement. This is why the Vikings waited patiently for him to. This is what makes him great, even at the not so old age of 39. Here’s a shout-out from all 39-year-olds (including myself) – Well done, not so old man!

It’s a shame we have to wait until November 29th to see Farve lying on his back, scuffed up from artificial turf burns, down from yet another sack by the Monsters of the Midway. It is nice to see a 3-0 start for Captain Tears, but it will much nicer to see yet another season ending failure, led by the bain of both of our existances for much of the 1990’s and 2000’s. The only difference is he will continue to cause the Vikings pain.
Bear down.
As long as he hands the ball to Peterson, everything will be alright.
