OK, I never really get into the nonsense of the Cubs vs. Sox rivalry… as a rule I am primarily a Chicago Cubs fan, but not a Sox hater. I would be what you could call a Chicago fan, but more of a fan of the Cubs. Yet, I can not help but point out the constant blather I hear from White Sox fans (who just hate the Cubs) about how Cubs fans are not real baseball fans, but just drunks who could don’t know their behinds from the holes in their head.
Whatever.
Sox-Fan-in-Chief, President Barack Obama proves my point well when speaking of his beloved White Sox after his first pitch in the All Star Game on Tuesday:
Err… where do the Sox play, Mr. President? Yes, this is petty, but so what… it is Chicago sports.
Go Cubs!

My Cubs-fan husband says that White Sox fans may hate the Cubs and Cubs fans, but Cubs fans are merely indifferent to the White Sox and their fans.
Go Cubs
Sox fans hate the Cubs because the Cubs get all the attention. Unless A.J. and Thome lit themselves on fire for the 7th inning stretch, the Cubs beat the Sox as the headliner on Chicago sports news every night. Cubs fans don’t care about the Sox. The Cell is like a Third World Nation. Everyone knows it is there, but noone really pays attention to what goes on there.
It’s the American League. Who cares about the American League?
