Bush Criticizes Obama Policies; Gibbs Says Debate is Over, We Won

BY: NCViking
In more of a defensive measure, President Bush spoke out on a few Obama policies warning against government meddling in the free market, complacency regarding Gitmo terrorists and government health care. Gibbs responded with a dismissal and the common ‘inherited mess’ blame wrangle we have come to expect.
Report on Bush Speech:
Gibbs Response:
“I think we’ve had a debate about individual policies. We had that debate in particular – we kept score last November and we won.”
In other words – shut up.
“President Obama inherited an economic catastrophe, massive unemployment, a huge deficit, insolvent banks, car companies that were being handed billions of dollars to perpetuate a plan that had them coming back every three months to ask for more.”
In other words – the evil dumb chimp got us into this mess and The Messiah has taken steps to fix it: by over-hyping the crisis to pass the biggest spending plan in history to stimulate political payback, not jobs, as unemployment explodes to nearly 10%; by aggravating the supposed economic catastrophe through bungling, weakening the dollar, massive spending increases and tripling the budget deficit; by taking over banks and frightening investors and the free markets thus destroying massive amounts of private wealth; and by taking over the car companies, dismantling them and handing out their assets to political constituencies. Oh, and also pushing for the destruction of the health insurance industry during a recession. The One and his enlightened few know better, so just go along with it and shut up.
Note to Obama: lose the inherited blame-game crap. You didn’t inherit anything; you bought it by running for president and winning. All presidents get some bad things and good things from a previous administration, its part of the territory. Clinton got an Iraq mess, budget deficits and a recession, but also no Cold War, a strong military and unparalleled American power. Bush Jr. got a recession, 9/11, festering Iraq mess and weakened White House, but also a wealthy economy, positive world sentiment and budget surplus. Obama got a recession, bank crisis, and the War on Terror including Iraq and Afghanistan, but also a wealthy economy, strong security apparatus and a strengthened White House. Continuously blaming the previous administration for everything only shows lack of confidence in your own agenda and policies. Gee, I wonder why he may not be confident?

Shut up…you lost…
Did you actually take time to read the article or just throw the comment out there? So anyone who didn’t like the result of the election should shut up? That’s not how a democracy works. One side wins and other side loses. When the next election cycle rolls around the people again get the chance to elect a President. The side that loses has to accept the results, move one and plan for the next election to tip things in their favor again.
I think Viking made a pretty good argument to put things in prospective.
