Palin Responds to Letterman, Says Perverse Joke Contributes to Exploitation of Minors

BY: NCViking
Sarah Palin has officially responded to the joke made by Late Show host David Letterman regarding her daughter.
The joke:
“One awkward moment though during the game, maybe you heard about it, maybe you saw it on one of the highlight reels. One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked-up by Alex Rodriguez.”
The Response:
“Concerning Letterman’s comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he’d ever dare make such comments about anyone else’s daughter): ‘Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is not only disgusting, but it reminds us some Hollywood/NY entertainers have a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands — that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone’s daughter, contributes to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.’”
Letterman then responds, states joke was about Bristol (18) and agrees it was unpleasant and ugly. See, he never meant to joke about the statutory rape of her promiscuous 14-year-old daughter, no, no … just that her 18-year-old daughter was the “whore”. Nice. Does he apologize? No. All for a good laugh, right? Has nothing to do with media bias, veiled conserva-bashing or the display of a far-left entertainer’s outright disdain for Conservatives and Republicans. He goes on to invite Palin to the show with her husband and maybe “without” (joke). Ha, ha … I get it, Sarah Palin is slutty hot, maybe she’s a whore too!
Letterman: “Am I guilty of poor taste? Yes. Did I suggest that it was okay for her 14-year-old daughter to be having promiscuous sex? No.”
As a father, I probably would have also released an equally ugly statement implying he may be a pervert or advocating for perverts. Oh, sorry wrong daughter … correction: calling him a complete a$$. Everyone’s up for a good laugh but some things are just off limits for reasons of class. It seems Letterman has none.

I thought that the Media Bias thing was a myth perpetrated by the right wingers at Fox News to boost ratings…
Seriously, I do have a daughter and I’m not sure I would have been as elegant and Gov. Palin if those things would have been said about my family. What a tool.
I wonder what would have been reported if some old pervert said those things about Obama’s two girls. Front page and lead news casts with hell fire and brimstone from the lefties. Glad there is no MSM bias.
Excellent piece. The double standard, that anything goes no matter how hateful or false if it is directed at a conservative, is becoming worse. Look at the “hate-rape of the top ten conservative women” piece that Playboy approved recently (and then removed when complaints came in). Despicable, and many liberals laughed at it, saying conservative women were being too sensitive about being power-raped.
And now, Letterman tries to backpedal because he says he didn’t know that he was saying that a 14-year-old was “knocked up” by an adult baseball player, he meant the 18-year-old daughter instead. What about Biden’s drug addict daughter? That one is real, not a twisted joke. But liberals are off limits, only conservatives’ children can be attacked on national television. And then you follow up with a joke saying Bristol is a prostitute. You’ve called Palin slutty and all sorts of names, night after night, for no reason except that she is a conservative. You bitter, depraved, twisted lecher, Dave. You’re scum.
Boycott is a powerful choice for people here. Don Imus was fired for much less than this. Wonder how bitter Dave is for being passed up AGAIN to host the Tonight Show?
