Mancow Gets Waterboarded, says it’s “Absolutely torture!”

BY: NCViking
I know we are a little behind on the news of Mancow’s waterboarding, but it deserves posting.
Leave it to a shock jock to do what no other media personality was willing to do – get waterboarded to prove whether it is torture or not. Well, after 6 seconds he was convinced it is.

There was only one problem with the demonstration: according to the memos that revealed the practice of “waterboarding” (used on only three individuals), it involved covering the nose and mouth with a cloth and pouring water over that cloth to create a drowning sensation. Mancow had water poured directly up his nose and in his mouth. The cloth was only covering the bridge of his nose and eyes. I am unsure if that makes a difference or not but it should be duly noted.
Whether this method of interrogation is torture or not continues to be debated. Brutalizing an individual is indeed un-American, but on the flip side, simply talking with a detainee without the suspect feeling any sense of peril for his/her silence or actions is not enough. Where is that middle ground? Does it include waterboarding, or only the Comfy Chair?
So the debate continues …

I can name on the top of my head the same number of journalists that have undergone the waterboarding technique as terrorists that were given the procedure, even if it is not properly administered like Mancow’s.

Let’s face it, this equating waterboarding a couple of admitted terrorists with sawing off arms, legs, and genitles is rather obscene. If a KSM gets a couple moments of scare and is not harmed in any other way, we are going a little overboard in our comparison to Nazi’s drilling holes into the heads of Jews?
Maybe just a wee bit?
