Swine Flu Traced back to Mexico, Washington Politicians Already Infected

There is a violent Mexican drug war on our southern border spilling into American cities. The Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah is partnering with Mexican drug traffickers using their routes to infiltrate the country. Tens of millions of Mexicans have illegally crossed into the country over the last 25 years overwhelming our infrastructure and public services. Now a potential virus pandemic of swine flu is spreading to America from Mexico, and still our southern border is not secure. Why?

From Reuters:

A new flu strain that has killed up to 68 people in Mexico could become a pandemic, the World Health Organization warned on Saturday, as health experts tried to track the disease’s spread.

Hospitals tested patients with flu symptoms for the never-before-seen virus, which has also infected eight people in the United States. No further deaths had come to light since Friday afternoon, but officials warned the person-to-person infections meant there was a risk of a major outbreak…

…Mexico has shut schools, cinemas and museums and canceled public events in its sprawling, overcrowded capital of 20 million people to try to prevent further infections. Weekend soccer matches were played in empty stadiums and people on the street wore face masks.

The strain of flu has spread fast between people and infected some individuals who had no contact with one another.

The WHO says the virus from 12 of the Mexican patients is genetically the same as a new strain of swine flu, designated H1N1, seen in eight people in California and Texas. All of the eight later recovered.

An emergency committee of WHO experts, convening on Saturday, will advise Chan on issues including possibly changing the WHO’s pandemic alert level, currently 3 on a scale of 1 to 6.

The spread of disease is just one of many reasons why people wishing to enjoy the fruits of America must come here legally. If they did so, they would be screened for infectious diseases that threaten the public. This issue must be resolved now. This is a national security problem and the National Guard must be deployed to our southern border in the short term to ensure the safety and security of Americans. Politicians then need to roll up their sleeves and start crafting a long term, permanent solution to this mess before more legal American citizens get hurt.

As for the millions of illegal immigrants that are here, resolution of their status must be made a priority. Years of limbo because of government incompetence is unacceptable. This is yet another excellent example of why Tea Partiers are so completely fed up with Washington. There are immigration laws in place and many broke those laws in varying degrees in order to live here or remain here. Enforcement of those laws has been very inconsistent and politicized. When laws are inconsistently enforced to this degree they become absolutely meaningless leading to the massive problem we have now. Unfortunately, some equitable solution must be reached regarding illegal immigrants already here because of this fact, which does not sit well with legal immigrants who have played by the rules. The federal government must find a unifying way to rectify this failure and laws must be enforced consistently. If any laws are deemed inequitable, people should lobby to have them changed but not excuse violation of them. Politicians playing race cards, blame games and deploying hate-mongering tactics need to be called out for this destructive behavior and ignored.

swineThe absolute failure of the federal government here is massive and complete. I just hope the ‘Swine Flu’ that has infected Washington politicians doesn’t continue to prevent a solution to this problem or more Americans are going to get hurt.

As I was driving into work this morning I heard an interesting statistic from the CDC. Around 36,000 people in the US die each year from the flu. Last check there were less than 50 reported cases in the US of people getting sick from the Swine Flu. I think a little perspective is in order for the MSM folks.

I wonder if the full court press is meant to take the focus off of the congressional hearings for Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to be HHS Secretary. Seems rather convenient to me…HHS, Swine Flu. Hmmmm.

In Washington, the “Swine Flu” is also known as love of Porkulus!
