“He that lives in a glass house must not throw stones.”
English Proverb

Does the above proverb apply to women as well, as it mentions only a “he“? If so, someone should speak to Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) about her recent rant about tea parties.

“The ‘tea parties’ being held today by groups of right-wing activists, and fueled by FOX News Channel, are an effort to mislead the public about the Obama economic plan that cuts taxes for 95 percent of Americans and creates 3.5 million jobs,” Schakowsky said in a statement.

“It’s despicable that right-wing Republicans would attempt to cheapen a significant, honorable moment of American history with a shameful political stunt,” she added. “Not a single American household or business will be taxed at a higher rate this year. Made to look like a grassroots uprising, this is an Obama bashing party promoted by corporate interests, as well as Republican lobbyists and politicians.”

And what is despicalbe and shamful? As John Lillpop of the Canada Free Press wrote that Schakowsky must find “it ‘despicable and shameful’ that American citizens would actually stoop so low as to engage in peaceful protests against Obama tax policies, which she sees as a ’significant, honorable moment of American history.‘ ”

Besides bringing up that consistant “whipping boy” (Fox News), Schakowsky seems to forget about her own recently despicable and shameful skeletons… as Glen Reynolds, the Instapundit pointed out:

PATHETIC: “Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) blasted ‘tea party’ protests yesterday, labeling the activities ‘despicable’ and ’shameful.’”

Ironic: “The husband of an Illinois congresswoman pleaded guilty Wednesday to tax violations and bank fraud for writing rubber checks and failing to collect withholding tax from an employee. Robert Creamer, a political consultant married to four-term U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, could face four years in prison on the two felony counts when he is sentenced Dec. 21.”

Tax hypocrisy abounds in Washington, but they’re angry that people are protesting. . . .

This is why I love Illinois… really. Where else can you get a completely corrupt Democratic party, full of hypocrites, thugs, and shakedown artists who are willing to tax the heck out of you to fund crazy left-wing nuttery, and yet an anemic GOP that is incapable of beating them because of their own Death Spiral.
