Enemy of the State: Obama’s Homeland Security Targets Rightwing Extremists
BY: NCViking
“Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment.”
This is the headline of a report from the Department of Homeland Security – believe it or not, it’s not a joke. Apparently, the DHS is concerned over some growing threat from this nondescript group. So what the heck is a “Rightwing Extremist” anyway? This is how the report defines it (emphasis mine):
Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups), and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.
This quite possibly could be the sloppiest definition I have ever seen come from the Feds, and an absolute joke. Let’s break this threat down a little, shall we?
Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups)
So is the DHS worried about a surge of Neo-Nazis? They call themselves “National Socialists”, which is not rightwing, but leftwing. Characterizing hate-groups as ‘right’ is not an accurate classification; it’s a stereotype. Groups that act like this should be called what they are: ‘hate groups’. Lumping them in with the term ‘rightwing’ was likely not an accident.
(Rightwing extremists are) those that are mainly antigovernment …
Is it Ruby Ridge/ Waco type groups? There is no evidence that they did anything but withdraw and play with their guns in remote locations. As long as the Feds don’t murder and incinerate them for doing so, evil whack-jobs like Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols won’t bomb things in retaliation. Important clarification: they were two morons working alone, not recruited and acting on behalf of some so-called ‘rightwing’ extremist group.
(Rightwing extremists are those) rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority …
Who, Ron Paul and his supporters? AHHHHH!!! RUNAWAY!!!
(Rightwing extremists are those) rejecting government authority entirely.
This defines Anarchists, another leftwing movement.
It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.
Nice. Evil advocacy groups are on the prowl and those blasted Tax Tea Partiers!
The use of the term ‘rightwing’ in this description signifies an attempt to bundle grassroots Conservatism and Libertarians opposed to The One’s agenda with hate groups and violence. Don’t believe me? Read this:
(U//LES) Rightwing extremists are harnessing this historical election as a recruitment tool. Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. Rightwing extremists are increasingly galvanized by these concerns and leverage them as drivers for recruitment. From the 2008 election timeframe to the present, rightwing extremists have capitalized on related racial and political prejudices in expanded propaganda campaigns, thereby reaching out to a wider audience of potential sympathizers.
So how is this going to play out? This is what the report says …
(U//FOUO) DHS/I&A will be working with its state and local partners over the next several months to ascertain with greater regional specificity the rise in rightwing extremist activity in the United States, with a particular emphasis on the political, economic, and social factors that drive rightwing extremist radicalization.
As followers of The Great Illuminator continue to grow, could we be accused of recruiting dissidents by the use of our “rightwing chatter”? After all, we are a little right of ‘Attila the Hun’ here, as my Minnesota-Liberal Father describes us. I guess I won’t know for sure until some wire-eared Obamagoon pulls me into an unmarked black Chevy Blazer.
Mon Dieu!

Somehow, we will find out that this is just some April Fools Joke that got out just a little later than originally planned. I can not imagine that the descriptions above are really out of DHS. Good grief.
WCWB: I agree, seems almost cartoonish. Michelle researched it and confirmed it as real, though. Good grief indeed!
