If You Don’t Miss Cheney Now, You Will Soon

BY: WC WINDBAG
For the last few years (and most likely, the next few as well), we have heard the Left continuously refer to former Vice President Dick Cheney as the worst Vice President evah! The consistent harangue of the MSM and liberal pundits and comedians undoubtedly imprinted this on young Obama supporters, and they had no doubt that their guy would pick a better person in 2008.
For those of us who are supporters of the former Vice President, we realize that nothing will help the redemption of Cheney’s stature and reputation more than the new guy in office: Joe Biden.
We all knew Joe has a checkered past, saying and doing things that would embarrass most of us. Just to name a few, there was the serious issue of plagiarism, the crack about Indians and 7-11, telling a man in a wheel chair to stand up, screwing up history, misunderstanding the Constitution, and other stupid stuff just said without thinking.
But Joe has seemed to step up the pace and power of his gaffes as he has moved into higher office. He started with an open mock of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court which even made his boss a little uncomfortable. Adding insult to injury, he soon gaffed in kind when swearing in Hillary Clinton as the new Secretary of State. Priceless. How about forgetting the website address on national television for recovery.gov, the site and program he was put in charge.
The most recent gaffe I read yesterday on Hot Air who quoted from Barcepundit…
MAN, BIDEN IS A GAFFE WITH LEGS: during his meeting with Spain’s primer minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero in Chile yesterday, Biden thanked Zapatero for his effort… in Iraq.
As everybody knows, the first decision Zapatero made after his unexpected win in 2004, right after the Madrid train terrorist attacks, was to abruptly and unilaterally pull out from Iraq. So either Biden made a gaffe, or he was thanking Zapatero for angering Bush…
There are several more too numerous for me to list, and this would all be laughable if Biden was not a heartbeat away from the Presidency. In short, what would this man do if given full control over the Executive Branch, but without the muzzle that the White House is carefully, yet not successfully using?
Winston Churchill allegedly said, “If you are not a liberal at age 20, you have no heart, but if you are not a conservative at age 40, you have no brain.” With our new gaffe-a-minute Vice President, an acceleration of this timeline is probably more than a little likely.
Do you miss Cheney yet? Do you miss a grown up at Number One Observatory Circle?

Joey Plugs is a reckless clown who often says things that betray a major disconnect with reality– and it’s not easy to shut him up. Truly this was a ridiculous choice for Vice-President of the United States, where a few loose words can start wars or crash markets- but like most of Obama’s picks, was made for the opportunist’s own political security, above all. As with the appointments of potential 2012 rivals Hillary and Bill Richardson -or obedient partisan toadies like Napolitano- the nation’s interests don’t weigh very heavy in this president’s descision-making process, to say the least.
