The video is from CNN, but I first read this on Hot Air.

One stipulation up front… this is an entertainment segment, and is not news, but the Obama Love factor is still there (such as when April Woodward said “You can’t forget that not too long ago people were trying to make her out to be this angry woman, but truth prevails…”).

Also, they are comparing favorability ratings of other first ladies who were in the White House for 4+ years, as opposed to 4+ weeks. Negative ratings generally do not develop on the honeymoon, but afterwards.

So, what are some of the great reasons that Michelle is so much cooler than Nancy, Barbara, Hillary, and Laura?

1) “She is warm, you can come up to her and just talk to her”
2) “She is Ivy School, educated woman, but from humble beginnings so people feel like they can relate to her.”
3) “She seems like a real person, and I think people really, really appreciate that, I know I do.”
4) “Part of her cool factor is her style”
5) “Her love for her husband”
6) “They go out to dinner, they go out to theater. We did not see see that with the Bush White House.”

One can look up the fact or draw their own conclusion regarding these factors and the other first ladies, but the fact is that Michelle does not have a monopoly on any of these attributes, only the attention the media gives her being part of the One.

Is Michelle Obama cool? Who cares! She is our First Lady and I really do not want a cool First Lady. She should adopt a non-cool cause like child literacy, child abuse, or anti-drugs and stop trying to fit in with the elites of the world. I am sure that she has or will, and that, my friends, is a noble… and cool… thing to do.

UPDATE:

CNN with some hard hitting news have reported that you too can have Michelle Obama’s toned arms. 

Those toned arms are becoming a trademark. And a source of inspiration for some women.
