I read about CSPAN ranking President Obama’s 42 predecessors on Hot Air this morning, and it got me thinking…

All I have read and heard for years is that President Bush is the “worst President in the History of the United States.”  You easily find it in the news, universities, magazines, stated by Congressional leaders… heck, even loser former US Presidents are saying it to anyone who will listen.

Even worse, I hear it like a drum beat from my liberal progressive friends ever since Bush won stole the election in 2000. 

So George W. Bush is the worst ever. Worse than James Buchanan, who led our country into secession.  Worse than Andrew Johnson, who was impeached and one vote shy of being voted out of office.  Really?  It is hard to believe, but I am told everywhere it is true.

So President Bush leaves office in January 2009 as the worst US President ever, but just 30 days later, CSPAN’s ranking made by super-duper historians places Bush at #36.  That’s up six positions from the worst position of #42!  That 30 days to move up six spots was the same amount of time it took William Henry Harrison (#39 on the list) to take the Oath of Office and then die of pneumonia.

In contrast, it took Truman 64 years to get to #5 on the list, where he now respectfully sits.  But watch out “Mr. Buck Stops Here”, at his current pace, George Bush will surpass you before the end of August!
