Electing Stuart Smalley … Way to Go Minnesota! UPDATE: Denied!
BY: NCVIKING
What is it, the sub-sub-sub-zero temperatures up there, or the bat-sized mosquitos that makes everyone so crazy? My family dawns from this lovely place, and I always felt we were a little nutty, but I never new just how much. Al Franken (a.k.a. Stuart Smalley) is set to be the next Jr. Senator from the Land of 10,000 Lakes. Way to go Minnesota!
This one’s a hoot … oh yah, you betcha!

UPDATE
Clown Al Franken learns the Minnesota Supreme Court has rejected his petition for a certificate that would allow him to go to Washington before a lawsuit is settled.
The Minnesota Supreme Court has rejected Democrat Al Franken’s petition for an election certificate that would put him in the U.S. Senate without waiting for a lawsuit to be resolved.
Franken is ahead of Republican Norm Coleman by 225 votes. Coleman’s ongoing lawsuit argues some uncounted absentee ballots were wrongly rejected.Franken sued to force Gov. Tim Pawlenty and Secretary of State Mark Ritchie to sign an election certificate. Franken argued that federal law required it.
But the state Supreme Court disagreed. In their ruling Friday, the justices said states aren’t required to issue such certificates by the date that Congress convenes.
I guess he’s not good enough, or smart enough … O.K., I’ll stop.

Minnesota has voted Democrat in almost every modern election. If you think Colman was cheated, be sure you Google his latest illegal $75,000 contribution from a Texas business man.
I guess this would all depend on what you define as “modern”. Since WWII (one definition of modern), Minnesota was represented by Republicans for 40 years vs. 26 for Democrats. Too far back? How about to the time of Reagan: Republican Governors 18 years, Democrats 8.
Probably better to bring up Senators anyway, right? Since WWII the GOP has held Senate seats for 69 years (remember, there are two Senators) vs. 67 for Democrats.
Current Govenor? Governor Tim Pawlenty (R).
Thanks for reading.
I didn’t suggest any shenanigans in the post, merely a comical observation that Minnesotans elected a dolt.
Coleman’s alleged illegal contribution is just that, alleged. We will see.
NCViking, you are being unfair to dolts.
Maybe you should publish some pictures of Ronald Regan and his Bonzo films. Incidently, Senator Frankin has visited Iraq numberous times, entertaining our troups. While his compition, stayed at home and collected illegal contribution from oil interests in Texas.
