Its simple: reconcile and create one bill, vote on it in the House or Representatives and Senate … if it passes with a proper majority, send it to the President to sign. You cannot ‘deem’ a bill to pass without a vote in any house of congress. Doing so would mean that this bill would be unconstitutional, or in essence not be a real law.

When it comes to the health care debate, I’m just a simple layman. I see additional government intrusion as a bad thing and detrimental to our country. Right now, I personally pay what I consider an exorbitant amount of money in taxes as do most in the middle class and above. Not only do we pay income and ss taxes, but also all the other taxes that most others pay on gas, food, products, etc., not to mention local and state taxes. Now we are asked to pony up money to cover government run health care? You can only squeeze a turnip so hard.

I have been a fan of John Stossel for a while. He is a libertarian in the truist sense – economic and social. We don’t see eye-to-eye on every issue, but the man is a true spokesman for libertarian economics. I’m just sayin’.

Republicans have offered up 35 different health care proposals this year.

Really? If you listen to the President’s constant inferences on how they are not offering solutions, or try and find any reference to them in the media, you’d swear there were none. I guess it’s understandable when Dems are in the majority and the media is in the Hopenchange wheelbarrow.

President Obama is getting ready to address a joint session of Congress in order to give one last push to his largely unpopular and fledgling health care reform program. The president has said the point of his speech would be to ensure that people understood exactly what was being proposed.

Uh, now he wants to somehow speak in detail?

Just how stupid do Democrats and the Obama administration think Americans are in this health care debate? Liberals believe that the American public must be enlightened by an elite ‘progressive’ few (typical), but what is interesting in this case is the blatant effort by the administration and their Hopenchange corporate shills to blatantly dumb-down the debate for a full-court-press ‘governmentization’ of the health care industry.
