Is Romney Behind Brown Surge? UPDATE: Behind Brown Win?

In this day of budget-busting deficits, a candidate that has balanced the budget of a state, leaving it with surpluses and one who was able to work with Democrats to do so is quite appealing. He is also a successful businessman with an enormous amount of leadership experience. Now Romney may be working behind the scenes to make a real difference in getting the Republican party back on its feet, while consolidating power and alliances in the process.

Krauthammer says Romney, Not Palin, Is Ready to Lead Republicans

Of course when my favorite columnist endorses my favorite politician I have to post about it. In a short monologue on Fox News’ Special Report with Brett Baier, Krauthammer suggests of Palin “You cannot sustain a campaign of platitudes and clichés over a year and a half if you’re running for the presidency.” He goes on to conclude that she is not ready and that Romney is the front runner, saying he is as clean as clean can get then takes a pot-shot at Sanford by saying “you’re not going to wake up in the morning and discover he’s crying in Argentina. He’s a solid guy and he has a record.” I would add that his record is quite impressive.
