Why Are We Still Listening to Ben Bernanke?

BY: NCViking

Last week, the Fed Chairman gave his economic outlook for the United States. Ben Bernanke calmed fears of a double-dip recession, forecasted continued moderate economic expansion, blah, blah … and the markets responded. I am certainly not complaining that the Dow went up after the pep talk, but I am curious why the world bristled at news coming from such an absolutely inept economic oracle? Find out just how inept by watching the ‘gasp-worthy’ video inside …

Economic Crisis of Confidence

BY: NCViking

What we have here Mr. President, is a Crisis of Confidence.

After the election of Barack Obama, there was no surge in confidence. Pass Stimulus, no surge in confidence. Health Care Reform? Cap and Trade Agenda? Not confident. Anything? Stagnation. Worse yet, the Present Situation Index, which measures consumers confidence toward the present economic situation, is at an all-time historic low right now. (Charts inside)

Cash for Clunkers – Consumer Success, Government Failure

BY NCViking:

President Obama will end the so called “Cash for Clunkers” program on Monday because he says: “We’re now slightly victims of success because the thing happened so quick, there was so much more demand than anybody expected, that dealers were overwhelmed with applications.”

This is not quite accurate.

The CARS program has been successful in stimulating sales and activity at dealerships, but it has also been a complete failure with execution.

The Great American Debt Angst

BY: NCViking

The feds are operating in some bizarro-world reality. By any logical consideration, the United States government is hopelessly broke. So what should we do? Audit the budget, make hard decisions and start saving? Nope. We need to add yet another expensive entitlement to the heap of debt, that’s what. (Disturbing debt figures inside)

TOTUS Commits Suicide!

BY: NCViking

OK, it just fell down and broke, but I like to think that he just could no longer take the B.S. of Stimulus praise coming from our Spender In Chief. Now that the deficit is eclipsing the $1 trillion dollar mark with three months still remaining in the budget year and unemployment at almost 10%, justification for this massive spending failure could send even the loyalist of Obamatons over the edge. Luckily for the President, the TOTUS to the audiences’ left continued to scroll the bovine muck, not missing a beat. Apparently this one was made in France.

Stimulus Not Creating Jobs? Solution: More Goofy Signs and a New Website!

BY: NCViking

The Stimulus is not working, so what’s the solution? Properly administer and fast-track the already committed funds? Table expensive spending initiatives? Cut the capital gains tax rate? Nope, the administration is making more self-promotional road signs and revamping the Stimulus website. (VIDEO)
